Because of Joe’s constant complications, it has been hard for Dr. M to get Joe’s Crohn’s into remission. In the last five years, Joe has gone through more surgeries than most other Crohn’s patients go through in their entire lives. But recently, Joe was able to get his disease under control with medication treatment and with any luck his Crohn’s will soon be in remission.
Joe and Dr. M have created an open and honest email exchange about his condition over the years. Joe often emails Dr. M to discuss things like flare-ups, treatment side effects and surgery complications. This has led to Dr. M and Joe to actively pursue methods for fighting his Crohn’s and will be instrumental in finally putting his Crohn’s into remission.
